Vol. 6 No. 35

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - BLIND PENSION CLAIM (DRUMKEEN).

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he is aware that the application of John Ryan, Longstone, Drumkeen, for blind pension has been rejected, notwithstanding the fact that the necessary medical certificate was furnished, and that a family of nine await such relief as the pension affords, and whether the application will be reconsidered.

The Deputy is no doubt aware that the functions of the Ministry relate only to appeals. It does not appear that there is any appeal before me in the case mentioned. If the Deputy will supply me with further particulars I will be pleased to be of any assistance possible in the matter.
