Vol. 7 No. 2

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - PAYMENT OF KILDARE ACCOUNT.

asked the Minister for Defence if he is aware that a sum of £27 9s. 10d. is still due to Mr. Laurence Berns, poulterer, of Kildare, for provisions supplied to the Officers' Mess, Medical Corps, Curragh Camp; that this account was passed by the Camp Quartermaster for payment, and bills were furnished several times without result; further, that the Minister in his reply to question 14 of the 16th November, 1923, promised to have arrangements made for payment, and whether he will now expedite payment of this overdue account.

Mr. Berns' account is not a charge on Army funds, but the officers concerned have been requested to settle it at an early date.
