Vol. 7 No. 5

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - FIXING OF A FAIR RENT.

CONCHUBHAIR O CONGHAILE

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture whether he is aware that James Tobin. of Cregg, Glandore, a tenant of Mr. Jonas Travers Jones, Droumbeg, Glandore, had a fair rent fixed by Order of 9th October, 1923, and whether he will be afforded an opportunity of proceeding with the appeal, which he lodged against the fixing of the said rent; and whether tenants who had proceedings pending in the Appeal Court to fix fair rents are to be afforded an opportunity of having the rents revised by the Land Commission Inspector under the Land Act of 1923.

The notice given of this question was too short to enable the Land Commission to make the necessary enquiries. I shall be glad, therefore, if the Deputy will postpone the question until the next meeting of the Dáil.
