As regards the first part of the question, the total yield of duty on parts and accessories of musical instruments in the year ended 31st March, 1924, was approximately £8,000. As regards the second part, it is impossible to estimate with any approach to accuracy the cost of collection under particular heads of Customs revenue, and I am accordingly unable to give the figures asked for.
