asked the Minister for Defence whether bicycles which were seized by Irish Volunteers during the pre-Treaty struggle will be handed back to those from whom they were taken, and if this is not possible whether the owners will be compensated for the loss.
CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - BICYCLES SEIZED BY VOLUNTEERS.
In cases where the bicycles can be traced they will be returned to their owners. As regards other cases, I would refer the Deputy to Sections 4 and 5 of the "Indemnity Bill, 1924," of which the Second Stage is mentioned on the Order Paper for to-day.
