SECTION 6.

This Act may be cited as the Criminal Justice (Evidence) Act, 1924.

Mr. DUGGAN

I beg to move the following amendment:—

To add at the end of the section a new sub-section as follows:—

"(2) This Act shall come into force on such day as the Minister for Justice shall by order appoint."

It will be necessary that some time should elapse between the date upon which the Bill passes into law and the time when it comes into operation.
