Vol. 7 No. 31

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - COMPENSATION TO SOLDIER'S DEPENDENT.

SEAN O LAIDHIN

asked the Miniter for Defence whether he is aware that Thomas Carberry, Green Side, Carrick-on-Suir, has not received compensation in respect of his son, John Carberry, a Volunteer of the National Army, who was killed in action at the Workhouse, Carrick-on-Suir, on the 11th day of September, 1922, and whether, as the father is in very poor circumstances owing to the loss of his son, payment would be expedited.

An application for compensation does not appear to have been received from Mr. Thomas Carberry. The appropriate form has now, however, been issued to him. On its return properly completed the case will receive due consideration.
