Vol. 8 No. 3

QUESTIONS ON ADJOURNMENT.

I beg to give notice that on the adjournment this evening, I propose to draw attention to the continued neglect of the Minister for Fisheries to exercise sufficient control over illegal trawling on the northern coastline.

Would Deputy White modify that proposal by leaving out the "northern coastline," thus enabling us to have a general debate?

Would Deputy White tell us what exactly he proposes to raise now?

The whole Irish coastline from Inishowen Head to Cape Clear.

What is the question that is going to be raised?

On the adjournment this evening, I propose to draw attention to the continued neglect of the Minister for Fisheries to exercise sufficient control over illegal trawling on the Saorstát coastline.

I desire to give notice that on the adjournment I will call attention to the sweepingly slanderous statement made by State prosecuting counsel respecting the people engaged at the station and pier at Dun Laoghaire, with regard to their general character.

We have made it a practice to raise only one question on the adjournment.

I have got in this time.

May I say that I would prefer that Deputies would, if possible, give us notice before 3 o'clock of matters they intend to raise on the adjournment.
