I gave notice privately to Deputy Johnson that I would ask him, as Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee, whether, in view of the interest that is taken in matters contained in the report of the Comptroller and Auditor-General, the Public Accounts Committee propose to issue their Report before the adjournment for the Recess?
PRIVATE NOTICE QUESTIONS. - PUBLIC ACCOUNTS COMMITTEE.
The interim report that has been issued by the Committee dealt with a small matter. It is not proposed to issue a further report at present. The Committee has gone through a number of accounts, and is now engaged in the middle of the Army Accounts. It is not expected that Deputies will be willing to attend during the Recess, and, consequently, it is not possible to issue any report until there has been a resumption of the sittings.
