Vol. 8 No. 21

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - BALLYHAUNIS PRE-TRUCE CLAIM.

LIAM MAC SIOGHUIRD

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the cause of the delay in paying Mr. John Conway, merchant, Ballyhaunis, Co. Mayo, the amount of the two decrees obtained by him for damage done to his property by British Forces, and whether he will now arrange to expedite payment in this case.

Only one decree for damage done to the property of Mr. John Conway, of Ballyhaunis, County Mayo, has so far come to my notice. This is an undefended decree in respect of which no award has up to the present been received from the Compensation (Ireland) Commission. The question of payment does not, therefore, arise at present.
