asked the President if he will state when the Committee which is to be established in accordance with Section 4 of the Indemnity Act, 1924, will be set up for the purpose of inquiring into losses or damage suffered owing to interference with private property after 21st day of January, 1919; and when the necessary instructions as to procedure in establishing such claims will be issued.

The appointment of this Committee will be completed within the next few days. It will be for the Committee to arrange its own procedure. A public notice was issued on the 25th September last as to the steps which should be taken in regard to the submission of claims.
