Vol. 9 No. 16

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - PAYMENT OF COMPENSATION.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that the compensation awarded by the Recorder of Dublin to Messrs. J. & J. Gallowey (J.W. Dyas) for the destruction of their property at 55 Upper O'Connell Street, Dublin, in July, 1922, has not yet been received by them, and whether he will give directions to expedite payment.

Subject to any deductions which it may be necessary to make in respect of arrears of income tax, payment will be made in this case within a week.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state when the award of £50 made at Drogheda Sessions in October, 1923, to Mr. P.J. Bourke, 26 Nelson Street, Dublin, will be paid.

Payment will be made in this case during the course of the next few days.

Will the Minister say whether the 1923 cases will be all paid this year.

I could not answer that.
