CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - UNECONOMIC HOLDERS IN CARLOW-KILKENNY.
Offers made by the Land Commission for the purchase of 886 acres of untenanted land in County Kilkenny have been accepted by the owners and offers have been or are being made in respect of a further 597 acres. The Land Commission up to the present have not acquired untenanted land in Carlow under the Land Act of 1923, but owners of estates in this county have furnished the Commission with particulars of some 2,000 acres of untenanted land, which will be dealt with in due course.
