Vol. 10 No. 22

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - THE FOREMAN ESTATE, GALWAY.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture whether a memorial has been received from residents in Clifden, Co. Galway, urging that a large tract of land on the Foreman Estate, which is at present being used solely for grazing purposes and is held under a grazing agreement by a man who is a non-resident, should be acquired by the Land Commission with a view to enlarging the holdings of certain uneconomic holders in the area, and if he will state what action has been taken or is intended to be taken as a result of the receipt of the memorial.

Mr. HOGAN

The notice given of this question was too short to enable me to obtain the information necessary to reply, and I would be glad if the Deputy would repeat the question at the next meeting of the Dáil.
