In accordance with the recommendation in paragraph 5 of the Report, the necessary Vote will be introduced on, I think, Tuesday or Wednesday.
DAIL IN COMMITTEE. - FIRST REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF PUBLIC ACCOUNTS.
The Appropriation Accounts contain the Report of the Comptroller and Auditor-General, in which he points to the fact that there was an excess expenditure under this sub-head D of the Rural Industries Vote, and he explains how the excess was made, that is to say, that there was a mistake in the method of estimating, a gross sum having been taken into account instead of a net sum. The excess expenditure was met out of savings under other sub-heads, and the proposal is for formal sanction to be given by means of the procedure of an Excess Vote for £10.
