CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - VESTING OF MAYO LANDS.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture whether he is aware that Walter Sammon, Philip McNamara and other tenants, in the townland of Carrowmore, Parish of Newport, O'Donnell Estate, Co. Mayo, signed purchase agreements for their holdings over ten years ago, and that the lands are not yet vested; if he will state what steps, if any, are being taken to have the lands vested and to have a refund of the money paid in excess of annuities for the past ten years, made.

Two of the tenants in the townland of Carrowmore on the estate of M.A.T. O'Donel (C D B 39), County Mayo, viz., Margaret Ryce and Philip McMannon signed Purchase Agreements in 1921 and the remaining tenant who occupies two holdings has not yet executed his purchase agreements for these lands The other holdings on the townland— two in number—have been vested in the tenants.

The holdings for which purchase agreements have been signed will be vested as soon as possible. No refund can be made.
