asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if he can state whether about one hundred acres in the vicinity of Kill, Straffan, Co. Kildare, has been acquired by the Land Commission from the Earl of Mayo for enlargement of holdings; and if so, whether the division will be proceeded with forthwith.
CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - ACQUISITION OF STRAFFAN LANDS.
Proceedings have been instituted by the Land Commission for the acquisition of the untenanted lands of Rathgorragh, containing 159 acres or thereabouts, on the estate of the Earl of Mayo, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1923, and an agreement has been arrived at with the owner as regards price.
The division and distribution of these lands will be proceeded with as expeditiously as possible.
