Vol. 21 No. 6

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CLAREMORRIS ESTATES.

asked the Minister for Fisheries if he will state the cause of delay in vesting the estates of McDermott and De Clifford, in the townlands of Ballydaff and Sessuagh, Claremorris, County Mayo.

The Land Commission is at present dealing with the re-sale of the lands of Sessuagh on the McDermott Estate, and the lands of Balladuff will be dealt with as soon as practicable.

With regard to the re-sale of the portion of the De Clifford Estate not re-sold, which consists largely of small holdings, the Land Commission are still in negotiation for additional lands to improve them, and do not think it desirable to proceed further in the matter until these additional lands have been acquired.
