asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he can state the rates obtaining for the conveyance of pork and fresh beef between Cork and London via Rosslare, Waterford and London via Rosslare, and Wexford and London via Rosslare.
CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CARRIAGE OF DEAD MEAT.
I am not in possession of the freight rates of any of the carrying companies and quotations should be sought from them direct. In this case, I have asked the Great Southern Railways Company to furnish particulars of the through rates which the Deputy desires to know and I am sending him the list of figures which has been supplied. But I would ask Deputies in future to apply for information of this kind to the railway companies and not to me.

Might I say that I have the rates here and I would ask the Minister if he thinks they are equitable?
Next question.
Well, I will see the Minister about it.
