The Board of Works maintain two lights on Inishbofin Island, viz., Gun Rock and Lyon Head. The former is near the harbour, and may be the beacon light referred to. According to a report received to-day by the Board this light went out on 28th October in a heavy gale and was relighted on 1st November. The latest report to hand regarding the Lyon Head light, dated 1st October, states that this light was then in good working order. Further inquiry will be made as to the present condition of these lights.
