asked the Minister for Finance if he will state when subscribers to the Dáil Eireann Loan, 1919, 1920, may expect a refund, particularly in the cases of Peter Higgins, of Killeen, Swinford, Co. Mayo, and William Hayden, of Carn Burnacogue, Swinford, Co. Mayo, who have already made application and got replies on the 18th June, 1927, and 21st May, 1927, respectively, saying attention would be given.
WRITTEN ANSWERS. - DAIL EIREANN LOAN.
The repayment of subscriptions to the Dáil Eireann Internal Loan is proceeding as rapidly as possible, and a large number of subscribers have already been repaid. Applications have been received from Messrs. Peter Higgins and William Hayden for the repayment of certain sums, regarding the subscription of which the records of my Department contain no particulars. I am causing communications to be sent to both the applicants, and if they produce satisfactory evidence that the sums in question were in fact subscribed to the Dáil Eireann Internal Loan their applications will be dealt with as expeditiously as possible.
