Vol. 21 No. 14

ORDER OF BUSINESS.

I propose to take No. 6 first, then Nos. 4, 3, 1, 2, 5 and 7.

Might I ask that the President would agree to take No. 1 some time early to-day? I think it is important that this Vote should be got through as soon as possible.

With reference to that I assume the Dáil will pass it so we can be considering schemes as if it were passed. In fact, the money cannot actually be paid out until the end of the month, when I hope arrangements for the new National Loan will have been carried through. I do not think anything will be lost if we are able to assume it will be passed.

I am hoping while this is behind other matters will be expedited.

Ordered that public business be not interrupted for the taking of private business at 7 o'clock.

On Friday last, the President promised to furnish a list of the business which the Executive Council expects to be dealt with before the Christmas adjournment.

I hope to have it to-morrow.
