Vol. 22 No. 4

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - DUNDALK LANDS.

asked the Minister for Fisheries whether he is aware that the lands of the late Miss Robson, Red Barns, Dundalk, have been recently advertised for letting; that application has been made by former evicted tenants of the above estate, to have it taken over by the Land Commission for division; and if the Minister will state when it is proposed to acquire those lands.

The Land Commission have had all the lands on the Robson Estate inspected and valued, and they have now under consideration the issue of an offer for the whole or part thereof. They hope to be in a position to issue an offer in a few weeks.

I would ask the Minister to see to it that there is no delay occasioned in the acquisition of these lands. An inspector has already been sent around there to take evidence from several former tenants on this estate, and a great deal of dissatisfaction exists as to the long delay in acquiring these lands.
