Vol. 23 No. 13

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - DONEGAL SALMON FISHERIES.

MICHEAL OG MAC PHAIDIN

asked the Minister for Fisheries whether he has received a petition from the fishermen of Teelin district, County Donegal, regarding their exclusion from fishing for salmon at the entrance to Teelin Bay; and whether he proposes to hold an inquiry at once with a view to satisfying himself that the definition of the mouth of the river, fixed sixty years ago, needs amendment.

I have received the petition referred to, and an inquiry will be held as soon as can be arranged regarding the definition of the mouth of the Teelin River.
