Vol. 26 No. 1

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - DIVISION OF TIPPERARY ESTATE.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether the claims of uneconomic holders on the estate of Major Murdock, Cahir, Co. Tipperary, have been disallowed by the Land Commission in the division of the estate, and whether persons possessing larger holdings on the Charteris estate have received portions of this land; and, if so, whether the Minister will state the reasons which influenced the Land Commission in this matter.

The untenanted lands acquired by the Land Commission in the Charteris and Murdock estats were divided by the Commissioners amongst the persons in the neighbourhood whom the Commissioners in the exercise of their statutory discretion considered were best qualified under the Land Acts.
