asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he will state the number of the unemployed in the City and County of Dublin on the 1st October for the years 1925, 1926, 1927 and 1928 in each of the following trades: carpenters, bricklayers, plasterers, stonecutters, painters, plumbers and builders' labourers.

Would I be correct in saying that these figures only represent those in receipt of unemployment insurance benefit and do not include large numbers who were in receipt of no benefits at the periods mentioned?
They represent all registered as unemployed at the unemployment exchanges.
That does not necessarily mean that there is only the number given unemployed in Dublin at present or at any of the periods mentioned?
It only means that that number registered as unemployed.
