Under the Land Act, 1923, the Land Commission have published in Provisional Lists of lands to be vested 18,978 holdings of tenanted land situate on 1,890 estates, comprising an area of 703,841 acres, and of these 6,114 holdings on 1,067 estates comprising 243,516 acres have already been vested.
