Vol. 28 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Colfer v. Neatle Estate.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he is yet in a position to state when the Colfer v. Neatle (formerly Boyd) Estate will be dealt with.

As the Deputy has already been informed in a communication addressed to him on the 7th July last by the Land Commission, the prescribed schedule of particulars to enable the Land Commission to deal with the estate under the purchase provisions of the Land Act, 1923, were not lodged until 22nd October, 1926. Estates pending for sale under the Act take their priority in accordance with the date of the lodgment of the schedules, and the Land Commission cannot see their way to take this case out of its turn to the detriment of other estates in which schedules were lodged at earlier dates. When it is reached it will be dealt with as quickly as possible.

Is the Parliamentary Secretary aware that this estate has been dealt with so far back as 1913 by the then Land Commission?
