Vol. 28 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Turbary Facilities in Co. Kerry.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether he is aware that many of the tenants on the estate of representatives of Daniel O'Connell (Maurice), Co. Kerry, are suffering much hardship because of the difficulties they experience in drawing turf from bogs in the estate, owing to the absence of proper roads; and whether he will take steps to have this estate vested in the tenants in the near future, so that the Land Commission would be in a position to put bad roads in repair, and, where needed, to make new roads leading to these bogs.

It has not been possible to identify the particular roads referred to. If the Deputy would supply further information as to the position of the roads I shall make inquiries.
