Vol. 28 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Mitchell Estate (Sligo).

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries why the lands on the Mitchell estate, in the parish of Dromore West, County Sligo, acquired by the Land Commission in November, 1928, have not been divided among the congested tenants in the district, and whether he can state when the Land Commission propose sub-dividing these lands.

A scheme for the division of these lands has been approved by the Land Commission and the necessary arrangements to put the allottees into possession at an early date are being made.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if Mr. Charles Harte, an ex-petty sessions clerk, and the owner of a large farm in the parish of Skreen, County Sligo, is negotiating with the Land Commission with the object of getting a farm on the Mitchell estate, in the parish of Dromore West, County Sligo, in exchange for his present holding.

It is not proposed to give Charles Harte a farm on the Mitchell estate in exchange for his farm in the Parish of Skreen.
