Vol. 32 No. 14

Written Answers. - Repair of Bridge (Co. Donegal).

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether, in view of the apprehended danger to a number of school children attending the Meenderry National School, the Land Commission is now prepared to reconsider its refusal to undertake the repair of the wooden bridge over the Tulloghobegley River, in the townland of Oldtown, Falearragh, County Donegal.

The bridge referred to is not the only means of access to the school. The way by the county road is only about three-quarter mile longer and the Land Commission cannot see their way to incur expenditure on the reconstruction of this bridge particularly in view of the fact that, according to the information they have, it only accommodates about six children.
