The Land Commission have not acquired Grange Farm, the property of Mr. Louis P. Acheson, containing 255 acres on the former Crofton Estate, purchased by him under the Land Purchase Acts subject to a Land Purchase Annuity. It has not yet been found possible to provide suitable lands in exchange for Mr. Acheson's lands, and therefore at this stage the Land Commission cannot state when the lands may be sub-divided.
Can the Parliamentary Secretary state if an effort is being made for a final exchange?
