The total cost of administering the Unemployment Insurance Acts for the financial year 1928-29 was £138,340, which is made up as follows:—Unemployment Insurance (Vote No. 60), £93,873; National Health Insurance (Vote 43), £14,967; Industry and Commerce (Vote 56), £9,825; Rates on Government Property (Vote 17), £698; Public Works and Buildings (Vote 11), £4,205; Stationery and Printing (Vote 22), £1,061; Superannuation and Retired Allowances (Vote 16), £1,201; Post Office (Vote 62), £12,510.
In respect of this expenditure, £115,239 was recovered from the Unemployment Fund and appropriated in aid of the Vote for Unemployment Insurance. That is all in the Estimates.
