asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health to state the cause of the delay in introducing the proposals for legislation to revise constituencies, arising out of the changes of population, as shown in the Census of 1926, in accordance with the terms of Article 26 of the Constitution, which proposals the Minister stated on June 27th, 1929, would be placed before the Oireachtas in the Autumn of that year.

The presentation of legislative proposals referred to by the Deputy is withheld for the present for the reason that it may be desirable that they should embody proposals for the change of certain parliamentary electoral areas in the City and County of Dublin arising out of the changes contemplated in the Local Government (Dublin) Bill at present before the House.
