Vol. 33 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Commission Procedure.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he will state if it is the practice of the Land Commission to compel tenants who hold different receivable orders for separate holdings to accept one receivable order for such holdings.

It is not the practice to issue one receivable order for the purpose of collecting the instalments of Land Purchase Annuity, etc., on several holdings, except where the holdings are consolidated as provided under the Land Purchase Acts. Possibly the Deputy has in mind the case of separate holdings in the possession of one tenant which are subject to payment in lieu of rent under the Land Acts, 1923-9, and which are consolidated when vested.
