asked the Minister for Justice whether, in the case of Heaney, at present serving a sentence of three months' imprisonment in Galway Jail, under a warrant for a poaching offence, and against whom there are two other warrants for terms of three months' imprisonment for similar offences, he will stale whether the last-mentioned warrants have not been lodged with the Governor of the jail in which he is now confined; and, if not, whether if these warrants are not so lodged Heaney may be compelled to serve two consecutive periods of imprisonment at the expiration of his present sentence.

Peter Heaney, Abbeygate Street, Galway, is now serving a sentence of three months' imprisonment in Galway Prison in default of payment of a fine of £10 for an offence against the Fishery Laws. There are no outstanding warrants against this prisoner. Heaney incurred a further conviction on 21st August last for a similar offence and was fined £6 to be paid within two months, or three months' imprisonment in default, but no warrant in this case has yet been issued. Heaney was also convicted on 8/8/29 of a fishery offence and fined £3 3s. with £1 1s. costs, but the fine was remitted on his entering into a recognisance to be of good behaviour for 12 months. Application was made at Galway District Court on 2/10/30 on behalf of the Fishery Conservators to have the recognisance estreated, but the application was postponed until such time as Heaney could appear personally.
