Vol. 36 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Coach and Motor-Body Building.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he has yet received the report of the Tariff Commission on the coach and motor-body building industry, and, if so, if he will state when the report will be made available to Deputies.

The report of the Tariff Commission on the application for a tariff on coach and motor bodies has been received, and is at present under consideration by the Executive Council. It will be circulated to Deputies as soon as possible.

Is there any possibility of the Executive Council making up its mind on this matter before the adjournment of the Dáil?

I do not think there is any great probability.

If it is a fact that the Executive Council intends to move a financial resolution as a result of its consideration of the report, will it wait until next February before doing so?

That is a matter that will have to be decided at a later stage.

How long has the report been under consideration by the Executive Council?

It has been in the hands of the Executive Council about a week.

Is it not a fact that the Tariff Commission has turned down this tariff?

There is a majority and a minority report.
