asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he will state whether any action is likely to be taken at an early date to remedy the acute congestion and rundale system existing on the Col. Jordan and Reddy Estates, in the parish of Bohola, County Mayo; and if he will consider the advisability of having an Inspector to report on the conditions existing on those estates, with a view to allocating portion of the Relief Grant towards estate improvements in the way of drainage and construction of accommodation roads.

The Land Commission have at present under consideration a scheme for the re-arrangement of the holdings on the Reddy Estate and in connection therewith have obtained an Order for the resumption of the holding of Patrick Gaughan containing 68a. 2r. 4p. of the lands of Carroward. When they are dealing with the Jordan Estate the question of the re-arrangement of the holdings thereon will be fully considered. The question of improvement works on both estates will also be considered.
