The total number of subscribers to the Dáil Eireann (Internal) Loan, 1919-20, in favour of whom payment has been authorised to date is 97,587.
The total number of claims lodged not later than the final date for making application (30th April, 1929) in respect of which authority has not yet been given for repayment is approximately 12,800. Considerable progress has been made with the examination of these applications.
No record has been kept of the aggregate number or amount of claims received or rejected, and the preparation of the information asked for in the other parts of the Deputy's question would take a considerable time and would divert the energies of the staff from the work of repayment.
