Vol. 37 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Judicial Committee of the Privy Council.

asked the Minister for External Affairs if he will state when the legislative proposals to abolish appeals to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council will be introduced.

I refer the Deputy to the answer given to Deputy Mullins on the 11th December, 1930, to which I have nothing to add.

Would the Minister state when it is intended to introduce the legislative proposals referred to?

I have nothing to add to the last reply.

The Minister did not state when he intended to do so.

In due course.

Will the Minister explain what is meant by the term "in due course?"

No, I cannot do that.

Will the legislative proposals be introduced this year?

Within six months?

I cannot answer any further.

When the delicate negotiation are completed.

Does the Minister recognise the danger of war with England if he interferes with the Treaty?

That question does not arise.
