asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether he has received representations on behalf of the very large number of smallholders and landless men in the district of Timahoe, Co. Leix, requesting the Commissioners to acquire the lands of Cremorgan (Moore), Timahoe, whether the Commissioners have any information regarding the number of uneconomic holders with a valuation of £20 or under in the district, and what action, if any, the Commissioners are prepared to take in this case.

Representations have been received by the Land Commission in regard to the lands of Cremorgan referred to by the Deputy, and inquiry has been made regarding them. The question of their acquisition is at present under consideration. The Land Commission are aware of the congestion existing in the district.
