asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether he is aware that in 1913 a road was partly constructed by the Land Commission at Horse Island, Schull, Co. Cork, and whether he will obtain a report as to the necessity for the cost of completion of the work with a view to accommodating the landholders on the Island.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Road Construction on Horse Island, Cork.
Horse Island, which contains 152 acres and forms part of the estate of the Edinburgh Life Assurance Company, which was purchased by the Land Commission under the Irish Land Act, 1903, is in the occupation of seven tenant purchasers whose holdings were rearranged and improved and vested in them in January, 1919.
Inquiry will now be made regarding the present condition of the road which was made by the Land Commission in that Island in the year 1913.
