The expenditure by the Land Commission on works in County Cavan out of funds provided by the Vote for the relief of unemployment and distress is almost completed, but figures showing the actual amount expended are not yet available. It is not feasible to state the number of schemes which were inspected, but the number of works started is 55. The cost of administering the relief schemes in the county is not ascertainable, as the work was carried out by the general Land Commission staff with their other duties.
