asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he will give an assurance that Daniel P. McCabe, Drumcummermore, Banteer (Estate City of Cork Church School Board), Rec. O, No. C 980/3, shall enjoy in his vesting order the fishing rights at present held by him, and that the fishing rent shall be fixed at the average rent prevailing for the past twenty years.

The estate will under the Land Act, 1931, be vested in the Land Commission as from 1st May, 1931. When the estate has been vested the Land Commission will in due course consider under the Land Act, 1929, the question of the fishing rights. At the present stage of the purchase proceedings it is not possible to say how they may be dealt with.
