Vol. 46 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Increase in Electricity Rates in Limerick.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he is aware that on the revision of charges for electricity made by the Electricity Supply Board in December, 1931, the flat rate for Limerick was increased by 25 per cent. as against an increase of 12½ per cent. on the flat rate in Cork and Dublin, and if so, whether he will now make representations to the Board for a reduction in the lighting charges for Limerick.

The fixing of charges for electricity is a matter for the Electricity Supply Board, and I regret that I cannot see my way to adopt the suggestion made in the last part of the question.
