Vol. 46 No. 16

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Wexford Hospital Proposals.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if the new hospital proposals of the County Wexford Board of Health contain a provision for a fever hospital for Wexford town.

I understand that the local authority have the matter under consideration at present.

Is not the Parliamentary Secretary quite well aware that it is absolutely necessary that there should be a fever hospital in Wexford, a town with a population of 12,000 people?

There is no definite decision before the Department from the Board of Health regarding this matter, but the minutes of the Board would indicate that the Board intend to acquiesce in the Minister's suggestion that a fever hospital should be there.
