Vol. 48 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Division of Moate Bog.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he will state when the Land Commission proposes to divide the bog at Moyvoughley, on the Donohoe and Grogan Estate, Moate, County Westmeath.

The question of the acquisition of the bogs on the O'Donoghue and Grogan Estates is at present under consideration. It is not possible at this stage to say when, if acquired, the bogs will be divided.

Is the Minister aware that the Mount Temple Fianna Fáil Club have entered on, and divided these bogs and claim that they have the authority of the Land Commission for so acting?

I am not aware of that.

Will the Minister make inquiries?

Yes, certainly.

Is not this the first natural step to the kind of division that is expected to come on?
