asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if the findings of the Commission that inquired into the question of the provision of State pensions for widows and orphans will be circulated amongst the members of the Dáil; and if it is intended to introduce proposals for legislation during the present session to give effect to the recommendations of the Commission, and if he will state what would be the probable annual cost of the scheme proposed.

The report is at present being considered in its final form by the Commission and will be presented to me at an early date. I am not in a position to give any information as to the legislative outcome of the work of the committee until the report has been considered by the Government.
