asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the principal classes of these goods which were imported into the Saorstát from Czechoslovakia to the amount of £66,544 in July, 1933; what are the main items of import into Czechoslovakia, and whether any, and, if so, what attempts have been made to further the sale of Irish products in Czechoslovakia.

The exports consigned from the Saorstát to Czechoslovakia during the first seven months in this year were woollen tissues, £5 and small articles sent by parcel post, £96. The whole question of the sale of Irish products in Czechoslovakia and other countries is at present engaging the attention of the Government.
What about an economic war with Czechoslovakia?
That is the sort of idea that would occur to the Deputy.
It would be better than destroying our good market.
