I move:—
Go dtugaidh an Dáil cead chun go dtabharfaí isteach na Meastacháin Bhreise so leanas i gcóir seirbhíse na bliana dar críoch an 31adh lá de Mhárta, 1934, eadhon:—
Vótaí a 52 (Talmhaíocht), 53 (Foraoiseacht).
That leave be given by the Dáil to introduce the following Supplementary Estimates for the service of the year ending on the 31st day of March, 1934, namely:—
Votes Nos. 52 (Agriculture), 53 (Forestry).
When will the Estimates be circulated?
Possibly to-night, but in any event to-morrow.
When will the Estimates be taken?
To-morrow.
Can the Minister say how much is the amount of these additional Estimates?
In the case of Forestry the amount is £30,350, and in the case of the Department of Agriculture the amount is £79,089.
Would the Minister tell us what particular matters these moneys are for?
In the case of the Department of Agriculture the main items are two dealing with the subsidies payable under the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Act, 1933, and the Regulation of Exports Act, 1933. There are a number of minor matters, including the Vote for the Oats Purchase Scheme and for the Butter Purchase Scheme.
